Welcome to Kettering University Planned Giving Gift annuity, charitable remainder trust, naming Kettering as a beneficiary of your IRA or of a life insurance policy, a bequest in your will...these are only a few of the "planned gifts" you can arrange to help Kettering and its students. Some gift models offer significant tax benefits and an income stream to you. The "Create Your Plan" link to the right explains the many choices in planned giving.
Lock in a high rate of return now on a gift annuity before the decrease in rates in July. Kettering University, formerly General Motors Institute, is proud of the fact that it is the only 100% co-op university in the world. Every student at this highly ranked university is also an employee of one of 650 organizations. With its three month rotation of paid, professional work experience and challenging academic terms with a student - faculty ratio of 9 - 1, Kettering University graduates high achievers who outrank their peers in every category.
Thank you for your support in all its forms. With your help, Kettering University will continue to thrive and play a major role in the future of the country and of the world. Contact me any time to discuss your legacy at Kettering University. -- Sue Weiss

Over the next weeks, you may notice alumni friends like Ralph Hillquist '59, Stephen Moore '69, and Morrie Dadd '50 as examples in these donor stories. | Tax-Free Sale Gene and Carol White were age 55 when they purchased some development land outside of town. They thought it would be a good investment that they could later sell for a higher price. They have owned the property for 10 years and now would like to sell. More on Tax-Free Sale >>. |
 | Grateful Alumnus Funds an Annuity There are many words to describe alumnus Morrie Dadd '50. Some are: father, husband, patriot, navigator-bombardier with 55 missions in Korea and a Distinguished Flying Cross, poet, engineer, manager, hunter and fisherman. Morrie is also a grateful alumnus of GMI, now Kettering University, and attributes much of his success in life to the co-op education he acquired at GMI. He co-oped and worked fulltime for General Motors Diesel Equipment Division in Grand Rapids initially. He then moved to the company now known as SPX, as Product Engineer, then in Engineering and Sales, General Manager over 3 plants, and retired as Manager of Marketing and Product Development.
