Charles E. Wallace, class of 1956, Phi Kappa Epsilon brother, successful businessman, thinker and philosopher, has been described by more than one classmate as "brilliant". He is grateful to GMI for a superb education. To honor one of the excellent professors who helped him achieve success, he established the Duane D. McKeachie - Charles E. Wallace Endowed Scholarship in honor of mathematics professor Duane McKeachie, the longest tenured professor here at Kettering University. Professor McKeachie officially retired a few years ago, but he teaches as an adjunct professor to this day. He still has a spring in his step, a trim and fit physique and optimism in his blue eyes, same as when Charlie Wallace was a freshman here at the school. Charles continues to help improve the world through this scholarship that will afford generations of students the same great co-op opportunity that made him successful in life.
